SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

About us:

PRENAV is digitizing and inspecting the world’s critical infrastructure through drones and computer vision. Our technology creates high fidelity “digital twins” of structures from drone photographs, which are then analyzed with deep learning to inspect for cracks, corrosion, and changes over time. In our short history, we’ve inspected key infrastructure assets around the world, including 100 year old railroad bridges, nuclear power plants, one of the largest dams in Asia, 300ft cell phone towers, wind turbines, and more.

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build core systems and tools for our software platform.  In this role, you’ll develop software that harvests images, computes at scale, and helps customers interact with dense 3D datasets. This is a generalist role that involves working with a variety of systems and languages across different software environments with a focus on cloud services and virtual 360-degree inspection experiences. Your work will help turn drone data into actionable information for our government and industrial customers.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Experience with modern C++ (14, 17, 20) and best practices

  • Experience with Boost, SQL

  • Experience with one or more of the main cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)

  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker

  • Excellent architecture and software development skills with proven experience in building commercial user-facing applications

  • Experience with best practices for web security

  • Knowledge of queuing systems and methods for large scale data processing

  • Strong Linux experience

  • 6+ years of industry experience in software engineering

  • Bonus:

    • Experience with writing GUI apps in C++
