Operations Coordinator (temp-to-hire)

About us:

PRENAV develops automated drones, software, and machine learning algorithms for the inspection of civil infrastructure (bridges, dams, power plants, tunnels, buildings). Our technology captures high fidelity digital twins that are analyzed with deep learning to inspect for cracks, corrosion, and changes over time. In our short history, we’ve visited large industrial sites, inspected cell phone towers and bridges, trained for operations inside a nuclear power plant, and traveled around the world for our customers.

The Role:

We are hiring an Operations Coordinator to assist with all the day-to-day activities of running the company. This is a full-time role (40 hrs / week) paid hourly, and would be a good match for a recent graduate who is looking to learn about multiple facets of a growing startup business, with the potential to convert to a full-time salaried role in the future. The compensation for this role is $20.00/hour.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Immediate availability to start within the next 2-3 weeks

  • Experience in operations/logistics or supply chain through coursework or previous roles/internships

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively between teams to maintain timelines and goals

  • Computer proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, hosted CRM, and project management software

  • A strong sense of integrity and the ability to keep sensitive information confidential

  • Ability to work in a multi-functional role and a “self-starter” attitude

  • Creative problem solving skills with “think outside the box” solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bonus:

    • An interest in drones and robotics

    • Shop experience (Soldering, 3D Printing, etc)

You Will:

  • Handle procurement of components, manufacturing equipment, and shop supplies.

  • Oversee the company’s supply chain, including monitoring inventory levels, refining internal tracking of components, and creating inventory forecasting reports.

  • Work with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.

  • Draft a wide range of legal contracts, including customer proposals, non-disclosure agreements, and import/export customs documents.

  • Assist with human resource operations through recruiting and supporting new hires.

  • Perform a range of office management-related tasks, including ordering lunches, overseeing shipping/receiving, running errands, and paying bills.

  • Coordinate and/or participate in conferences and events.

  • Arrange logistics for team travel, demonstrations, and customer visits.

  • Perform business development research and market analysis.

  • Provide special project support as required.

What We Can Offer:

  • At PRENAV, we’ve assembled one of the top robotics teams in the world, solving challenging problems in aerial robotics, computer vision, 3D imaging, and systems engineering.

  • We have a collaborative and flexible work environment where everyone’s ideas are welcome and necessary to build our product.

  • Our quirky work space is a converted warehouse in downtown Redwood City that includes a machine shop, a rock climbing wall and a fireplace.

  • We promote a family-friendly team environment with flexible work hours

  • Lunch is provided every day
